Sexual health findings in the news
Youth19 co-lead Dr Terryann (TC) Clark shared sexual health trends from the Youth2000 survey series in two recent Stuff articles, considering Love and lessons from a teenage pash spot & high school sex ed in Aotearoa.
We’ve seen a drop in the proportion of secondary school students who have had sex (from 32% in 2001 to 21% in 2019) and, among those who are sexually active, a drop in the proportion using condoms & contraception consistently.
