Youth19 Co-lead Terry Fleming and team joined MPs, researchers and social enterprise representatives at the Beehive last month for a cross-party breakfast focused on tackling period poverty.
A petition with 3015 signatures was presented to MPs, calling for the free provision of period products and more comprehensive menstrual education.
Questions about age of first menstruation and experience of period poverty are included in the Youth19 survey. The results will provide, for the first time, a nationally representative picture of the scale of the problem.
