Free period products in schools by 2021 – Dr Terryann Clark urges prioritisation of communities most in need

A Government investment of $2.6 million dollars to provide free period products in schools was announced in May. The roll out will begin in term 3 to schools in the Waikato region, with extension to all state and state-integrated schools in 2021. We are excited that our research has helped to advocate for action on period poverty, an issue that affects thousands of students in New Zealand schools.
